The Yard Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our tractor and trailers at the Odessa Yard. This role will be responsible for managing the location and coordinating the allocation of assets, ensuring all issued assets are DOT compliant and meet Company operating standards.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm; every other weekend

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Provide Drivers with assigned tractor and trailer and assist Driver with the equipment checkout process.

·       Maintain the Odessa Yard keeping it clean and the equipment locations organized.

·       Assist Fleet Supervisor with new hire Driver yard orientation.

·       Assist HSE with pre-employment Driver Road tests.

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       Experience in oil field such frac, wireline, coil, pump down or oil field service lines preferred.

·       Strong communication and able to communicate effectively and professionally with team, leadership, customers, and consultants in English.

·       Strong work ethic with ability to work under stressful conditions at times.

·       Must be able to work rotational schedule and long hours (day or night), outside with exposure to inclement weather.

·       Current valid driver's license and clean MVR for the last 3 years; Class A CDL

·       Must be mechanically and technically inclined; able to use smart phone and software programs.

·       Must be a self-starter who works well with personnel, management, public and customers.

·       Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

 

Physical Requirements:

·       Required to walk (~35% of time)

·       Required to stand (~35% of time)

·       Required to bend and reach (~10% of time)

·       Carry, lift, push, shovel and pull 50 pounds waist level (~10% of time); Lifting of ~5pounds to shoulder height infrequently

·       Sit(~10% of time)

·       Handle hazardous materials

·       Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
