The HSE/DOT Specialist is responsible for assisting with the implementation and documentation of HSE and DOT policy, program, and procedure.
Schedule: 1 week on, 1 week off, 12-hour shifts day/night
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct on-site safety and risk assessments to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company HSE and DOT policies and procedures, including but not limited to daily well-site inspections, DOT vehicle inspections, pre-start safety reviews (PSSR), etc.
· Provide detailed reporting of inspections, observations, and incident investigations.
· Ensure compliance with a system for collecting, storing, analyzing, tracking, and reporting HSE and DOT performance data(Incident report findings, audit actions, etc.)
· Investigate and report incidents involving company personnel, equipment, or contractors.
· Facilitate employee drug/alcohol testing requirements as directed by company policy.
· Aid with functional work assessments, occupation injuries, Worker’s Compensation claims, and any other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree, Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related fields preferred.
· 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
· Working knowledge of safety requirements, including OSHA and DOT regulations, preferred.
· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
· Willingness to travel to various work sites and locations as needed.
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
