The Field Operations Manager will oversee the Southwest Pennsylvania operations region ensuring that operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role is responsible for optimizing personnel performance and maximizing efficiency at wellsite locations within the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all wellsite operations on location including planning, equipment, and personnel.
    • Collaborate with the team and customers in the preplanning phase of jobs, reviewing job parameters and requirements.
    • Verify dispatch and load information, as well as readiness of sand, personnel, and equipment for service.
    • Direct and oversee equipment setup and ensure proper execution.
    • Review completed jobs with the crew, overseeing the cleanup and preparation for returning equipment to the home base.
    • Communicate with customer before, during, and after to ensure expectations are met.
    • Prepare reports and schedules, ensuring accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Inspect work quality to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
    • Oversee equipment maintenance to ensure functionality and readiness.
    • Collaborate closely with maintenance teams to ensure proper vehicle and equipment upkeep.
  • Manage all supervisory duties including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance of field staff.
    • Lead, coach, and mentor field personnel, managing performance and development.
    • Ensure adherence to work policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings prior to job initiation and as required.
  • Work alongside other field leaders, corporate executives, and functional teams (e.g., HR, HSE) to ensure company-wide alignment and smooth coordination.
  • Support the Vice President with vendor selection, management, cost control, and relationship-building.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; BS or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of operational supervisory or management experience.
  • Prior experience in the silica, aggregate, or oilfield services industry preferred.
  • Ability to establish ambitious objectives, drive results, and foster collaboration across departments.
  • Experience managing, motivating, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Ability to travel to and navigate frac locations.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety programs, process safety principles, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must hold a current, valid driver’s license with a clean MVR for the past 3 years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with drivers, employees, customers, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
